Soon into Monday and a storm arrived from Tampa - as they usually do. The rain was intense and lasted for some hours.
Once that had subsided, the others went off to Vineland Premium Outlets for some retail therapy https://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlet/orlando-vineland whilst I waited at home for two separate deliveries - the new cooker and then the new microwave.
There was also time to look through the box of free goodies which our energy supplier had sent us and which included an energy-efficient trailing socket and some LED light bulbs....
The cooker arrived first and was here by the time the shoppers returned, so we soon set about unpacking it to get it ready to install.
We had to wait till almost early evening for the microwave to get here and Chris led the charge to get that installed. He had already managed to get the old one out, a much more complicated job than perhaps any of us had at first envisaged and then came the task of fitting the new retaining bracket above the microwave to be able to start to slot the new one back in.
But finally they were both in place and the new appliances had a lot of smartish features for us to get to grips with....
By the time we were all able to stand back and admire our good work, it was time to hit Miller's Ale House for our evening meal.
